DIY Guide to Installing a Resin Bonded Surface

Warning: Please read these instructions completely before starting.

We would advise setting your materials up into sections. E.g. have the stone and resin positioned around the installation area so aggregate and resin are always easily accessible.

Step 1 (Concrete, block paving or slabs)

Pour the primer into a decorator’s trough and roll the surface with the primer.  Take care to not splash it onto PVC cills and patios.  Try to not walk on the primer.  Once applied leave it 15 minutes to go tacky.

Step 2 (Mixing)

Add Part B to Part A and mix with a paddle drill.  Whisk for 90 seconds.

Step 3 (Application)

Once mixed pour the resin onto the surface and level this out with a serrated levelling\lute until this is equally spread across your area – 3mm thick.  One kit should cover approx. 10m2

Step 4 (Aggregate)

Pour the aggregate into a bucket and from it scatter the aggregate onto the resin until the resin surface is completely covered!  You may need to apply additional aggregate to areas where the resin bleeds through to the surface. One 25kg Bag should cover approx. 3m2.

Step 5 (Clean up)

The following day, sweep off the excess aggregate to reveal a surface with the appearance and texture of loose gravel.
